WHO ARE ‘THE FRIENDS’?
All parents and carers with children at Rodmarton are automatically Friends who can volunteer to help with school events throughout the year. As a registered charity, The Friends aim is to come together to create a strong community spirit and to raise much needed money for the school and also enrich our children’s experience there. It’s also a great way to meet other parents and become familiar with the school.
The success of The Friends is dependant upon support from the wider community of parents and guardians and everyone is welcome so please get in touch with any of the committee members if you would like to become more involved. You can contact us via the school office or please speak to us at pick up or drop off.

WHAT DO ‘THE FRIENDS’ DO?
Throughout the school year The Friends organise activities for children and parents alike such as movie nights, talent shows and spooky discos for the children, or race nights and quiz nights for the parents. These events enable us to come together and have fun whilst raising money to fund projects within our school. If you would like to volunteer, or have any good fundraising ideas you can help us with please let a member of the committee know – your time and effort will be very much appreciated!
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
All the money that we raise goes directly back to our children. Through our contributions we have helped to provide extra resources, essential repairs to playground equipment, better learning environments and help fund school trips. This year some of the initiatives we would like to help the school achieve are the installation of a nurture space and sensory room, resources to enhance the creative curriculum and new computers for the early years and KS1.
Remember, fundraising for our much-loved school makes a huge difference to all our children and we would really appreciate your help in 2018/2019.
